This Week in Toronto
AYO WHAT'S GOOD
THIS IS SOME STUFF YOU SHOULD ATTEND IF YOU ARE A CULTURED AND SMART AND NICE PERSON:
Brian Rideout's "ceremony" at the georgian college campus gallery:
This is a big one! Brian fucking kills it, and these paintings look so so so good. If you can get yourself to Barrie you really should go see this show. My money is that it's going to be one of the best of the season.
Student Night at The Power Plant:
I don't really know what this is about but it seems like a good chance to #network and also look at some art?
Discount Magazine issue 1 Launch at saving gigi
From the organizers -" discount’s inaugural issue, sisters, explores the complexities of sisterhood. those of us who have sisters and those of us who do not will all find a place within the magazine to explore the idea of what it means to be, have, need, or want a ‘sister.’ featuring the powerful works of 18 female-identifying artists, this issue diversely unpacks its theme through explorations of biology, adoption, and even geography."
This sounds really great and I'm always stoked to see more print stuff happening in the city.
Nick Bierk Solo Show at Project Gallery
I'm lowkey a huge fan of all of the Bierk brother's work and this will be a nice show. Nick's work at Capital (last month? August maybe?) Was nice, so I'm stoked to see some new stuff.
