'Boundary' by Michelle LeFade at Little Sister
August 11th - September 4th
Opening Reception: Bodega Thirteen, 1446 Dundas St. West - Thursday, August 11, 7-10 pm

"Boundary" is a tribute to the great fetish cartoons and magazines of the 1960's - 70's and largely inspired by the work of Gene Bilbrew.

Bilbrew was a cartoonist from Los Angeles who drew for several publications including Exotique, Bound, When Bitches Battle, and Satan's Secret Society of Sin. His work blended elements of surrealism and science fiction with fashion and caricature to create strange, dark, beautiful fantasies on the page.
Unfortunately harsh obscenity laws cracked down on many of the publishers Bilbrew drew for, resulting in the destruction of many of his original works.

This window is inspired by his lost body of work and the restrictions placed on fetish artists of the time.
